Summer vibes in Zurich

Spending a hot day in Zurich on the lake is probably the best thing you can doย ๐Ÿ˜Ž. My favourite walkย starts on the main station and goes all the way along theย Bahnhofstrasseย until the lake appears. Once you’re atย Bรผrkliplatzย you can make a trip by ship or continue walking. Turn left and cross theย Quaibrรผcke from where you have a fantastic look over the lake of Zurich to the mountains ๐Ÿž. After the bridge turn right and you will enter the lakeside promenade. You can walk untilย Tiefenbrunnenย which takes you approx. 25 minutes. On your way you will have hundreds of possibilities to relax – on the grass, on benches, on rocks… ๐Ÿ’
There are a lot of street musicians and performers on the way presenting great entertainment for free ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽต. If you wanna go for a swim feel free to do so – there are a lot of parks with green areas where you can lay down and enjoy free acess to the lakeย ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ. If you’re sporty: you can also rent a pedalo and spend some time on the lake away from the crowdย ๐Ÿ˜Ž.

If you want to enjoy a really good ice cream walk untilย Zรผrihornย ๐Ÿฆย there you can find a small stall called Gelati am See –ย they have awesome ice cream, homemade with a lot of love ๐Ÿ˜ย and quite cheap compared to others around. Just be careful, if you arrive after 1pm you have to be patient as the queue can become quite long ๐Ÿ˜‹.

If you’re up to a snack or a meal check out the lounge & restaurantย Fischstube (3′ away from Zรผrihorn)ย ๐Ÿ‘Œย they are famous for fish dishes but are offering a lot of other good food too – directly above the lake.

If you still have time stay on the lake until twilight. I never got diappointed from a sunset in Zurich and you have the best views from this side of the lake ย ๐ŸŒ…ย enjoy the stunning colours, nice drinks and good vibes the whole night long ๐Ÿฅ‚.
